KONY 2012
Tonight when I read all my facebook updates and read the usual blogs I read I saw everyone talking about KONY 2012. Being the curious self that I am, I decided to watch the KONY 2012 video and I am so glad I did! I recently watched the movie "Machine Gun Preacher" which made me think that I would really love to help or get involved in helping with these issues, which are happening on our own continent, but I didn't know how- this video shows you how to help and why. One of their main goals is to create awareness of Joseph Kony and I know, because of my blog, that I have a voice and this is one of the ways I can spread awareness of Joseph Kony, this is one of the ways I can make a difference and because you also probably have facebook, twitter, a blog or any other social media outlet so can you by just spreading the word.
Please visit these sites and watch the video:

Love is Sweet
I recently wrote about the ever so popular Candy Bar Stations and another trend that we are seeing more often at weddings is the "Love is Sweet" sign. It is perfect for your candy station, your dessert table or even just next to your wedding cake. This is another small touch to add to your wedding that is inexpensive and can become the perfect project for DIY brides.

Kick off those Heels...
And put on your dancing shoes! If you want your wedding to last through the night then I think this is a brilliant idea- offering your guests flip flops at your reception encourages them to dance the night away with you and your groom. You can even offer the slops as your wedding favours- basically killing two birds with one stone. It is also so easy to create the pretty looking baskets to hold the slops (all you need is some cardboard, ribbon and something to hold them in) and the slops themselves are very cheap and can be found anywhere.
