Wedding Dress Trends 2011/2012

This year we can be sure to see a lot of softness and prettyness. The flower trend is definitely still happening aswell as lace, flowy bottoms and vintage with a mix of contemporary. It seems as if the traditional white wedding dress may be falling by the waistside with more brides opting for softer bridal tones (especially dusty pink and ivory) and even metallic gowns or a mix of black and white. Instead of bling and a lot of beading, detail is created by mixing many different textures (lace, chiffon, satin, mesh) together or adding flowers and bows. Boobtubes, asymmetry, pleats, sashes, ballgowns and feathered bottoms are also in this season. Brides should try remember that the back detailing of their dress is very important because while you are saying your vows the entire time everyone else is staring at your back.

Fascinators, birdcages and flowers are also very trendy and to encourage the softer feel stiff updos with tiarras are no longer in fashion. Once again the traditional white shoe is also not what many brides are chosing to wear; instead they may chose to wear a soft ivory, pink or the colour of their wedding.

This year the two dress trend is definitely huge but just remember that what you to chose to wear is such a gorgeous gown and you only wear it once, why do you want to change into something else-not to mention that this could be pricey? As another option if you want something different for the reception, consider buying a little jacket or wearing a dress with a removeable bottom to reveal another dress.

The most important thing for any bride to remember is to wear something that suits your personality!
