Wedding Dress Trends 2013
Yes it is that time of the year again- that exciting time of the year where the new bridal ranges are being showcased. The 2012 collections were toying with the idea of making tulle centre stage and this year the designers have taken it to another level with tulle everywhere- big tulle skirts and tulle overlays with many layers of ruffles. Chiffon is a very popular fabric but bear in mind this is not an easy fabric to wear as it can be very clingy and shows off everything. The vintage trend is still prominent for 2013 making way for lace gowns but beading and bling seem to be slowly over shadowing it. Separate tops and skirts were seen in many collections allowing the skirts to be fuller while the corsets stay structured. Other popular silhouettes include the more traditional A-Line, Ballgown and Drop Waist. Movement and Texture are everywhere for 2013! The ever popular sweet heart neckline is making way for straight across necklines, straps, halternecks and back embellishments. White is also no longer a must have with more and more designers showcasing coloured gowns.

Elie Saab 2013
I doubt Elie Saab could ever disappoint me and this new collection blows me away. The silhouettes are traditional wedding gown silhouettes with a fitted waist. Texture and movement are this season's must have and this collection has all that to offer and more. The lace appliques, hand embroidered lace and flowers are absolutely gorgeous.

Wedding Boudoir Photography
It is no secret that I love all things boudoir and this latest craze is no different. Brides to be often wonder what to get their grooms as gifts and this could be the perfect answer. Some photographers even include the boudoir shoot in their packages. If you are a bit shy you do not even have to show off a lot of skin; instead you can convey coy, sweet or cute. The photographers are very professional and their boudoir shoots are tasteful and classy often allowing you to call all the shots. Most experienced photographers will be able to help you pick out lighting and poses that are most flattering.
"The point of a boudoir shoot isn’t to make you look like a starving model, but to show off the natural sexiness that made your partner fall for you in the first place, but in the best possible light. When shopping for your outfit(s), be a little adventurous but always make sure that you feel good in each piece. If not, you are going to feel awkward and really not enjoy the experience of a boudoir shoot." - Quoted from blog.celebration.co.za

Trash the Dress
Wedding couples are always interested in expanding their wedding portfolio and what a better way then putting on their wedding attire again and doing a trash the dress or a rock the frock shoot? It allows the phtographer to be creative and the couple to show their personalities and let their hair down. Often trash the dress shoots take place in a contrasting environment such as the sea or old, dark building. The limits are endless depending on what the couple is willing to do. Trash the dress promotes creativity and keeps up with contemporary times but many people look down on it saying that it is a waste of money and time. Would you consider trashing your dress?
